This role will be member of the PMT (Project Management Team), responsible for HVAC on the PBAT Plant project located in Hai Phong, Vietnam. PMC experience as Client facing Leads as HVAC Engineer in chemical and petrochemical projects is a critical requirement.

– Internally: Project team, other disciplines, procurement, construction, commissioning, project control and QHSES.

– Externally: engineers and technical specialists from Front End & EPC contractors, Licensor, construction contractors and equipment vendors.

– HVAC Engineer reports to Mechanical Lead of the Project Management Team.

Responsible for defining the design of HVAC systems, specifying equipment, monitoring EPC contractor in the following tasks:

 Develop basic data (site and operation), HVAC specifications and standards.

 Design and choose the most suitable system according to the different parameters (performance, cost, local specificity, maintenance, etc.)

 Calculate and or estimate thermal needs

 Prepare tender and requisition files for carrying out detailed studies, manufacturing, assembly and testing of HVAC equipment.

 Perform the technical follow-up of the supplier and check the supplier documents

 Participate in inspections and performance tests of HVAC equipment

 Development of specifications & standards, along with concept development work.

 Development of tendering documents and scope of work documents for project.

 Evaluation and scoring of tenders from engineering or construction contractors.

 Review of EPC Contractor and vendor deliverables for conformance with contractual requirements, project specifications and international standards.

General work activities include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of specifications and procedures, pro-active management of EPC contractors and vendor technical interfaces, leadership in resolution of scope changes and deviations, and coordination with other disciplines.

Duties may also include reviewing client procedures, developing project, group and corporate working procedures and technical standards, staffing, forecasting, participating in the development of project schedules, maintaining completion of mechanical deliverables on schedule and change management.
